ALA-Massachusetts is a program of the Justice Center of Southeast MA, a subsidiary of South Coastal Counties Legal Services, (SCCLS), a private non-profit law firm providing legal assistance to eligible low-income clients. Since 2005, ALA-Massachusetts has been funded through AmeriCorps. ALA-Massachusetts is administered through our state service commission, the Massachusetts Service Alliance, and is housed at the Justice Center of Southeast Massachusetts, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCCLS. In 2023-2024, ALA-Massachusetts was awarded $828,000 from AmeriCorps, which represents 44% of our total program budget. The AmeriCorps investment is matched by $1,007,448 in public funding and private funding.
