About The Team
South Coastal Counties Legal Services has received federal funding to operate ALA-Massachusetts since 2005. While members and supervisors serve in organizations throughout Massachusetts, SCCLS manages the day-to-day operations of the program from its office in Brockton, MA.
Amy has been Program Director for ALA-Massachusetts since 2015. A graduate of Brown University, Amy worked at the Women’s Prison Association and MDRC in New York City before attending Harvard Law School. Amy received a Skadden Fellowship in 1998 to launch her career in public interest law. She practiced housing law for twelve years at Massachusetts Law Reform Institute where she specialized in fair housing, public and subsidized housing tenancies, and tenants’ rights. Kyla Graves joined ALA-MA as our Program Coordinator in August, 2019. Kyla has dual Masters degrees: an MA in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence from the Heller School at Brandeis; and an MA in International Law and Human Rights from the UN Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. Prior to accepting the Program Coordinator position she was an intern at the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence in Indonesia where she researched enforced disappearances and other crimes against humanity.
